World Mental Resilience Programs ‘ Mental Health Crisis Support Practice® (MHCSP™) Courses are Certified and Accredited with the [American Psychological Association (APA), the British Psychological Association (BPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Mental Health, Brain Health and Substance Use]

WHO IS AN MHCSP INSTRUCTOR?

The Mental Health Crisis Support Practice (MHCSP) Instructor Training Course trains suitable individuals to become a Licensed MHCSP Instructor. It empowers individuals to educate others about mental health, reduce stigma and promote early intervention and support for people experiencing mental health problems.

Course participants learn about key statistics and the evidence that underpins the delivery of Specialised and Applied MHCSP training. With a focus on facilitation, they learn a comprehensive set of skills to effectively teach others how to apply mental health crisis support practice.

Course participants also learn instructional techniques and strategies to deliver MHCSP training to diverse audiences. This includes the use of teaching materials, facilitating discussions, managing group activities and application of the MHCSP practical, evidence-based action plan and model.

Adults who successfully complete the course become Licensed Mental Health Crisis Support Practice Instructors. Licensed Instructors can work as independent licensees, delivering MHCSP courses in workplaces, learning institutions and communities, or they may be employed by an organisation to deliver training to their colleagues or other individuals supported by the organisation.

The backbone of  World Mental Resilience Programs’s (Mental Health Literacy EmpowermentInterventions) strategic pillar  dissemination is a national network of Licensed Instructors, passionate about improving the mental health of their communities.

Licensed MHCSP Instructors play an important role in improving capacity for community-led care through the delivery of Mental Health Crisis Support Practice training in workplaces, schools, tertiary institutions, and communities worldwide.

By becoming an Instructor, you empower individuals to educate others about mental health, reduce stigma and increase support for those experiencing mental health problems.
